Scottish Government guidance and protocols on the use of Restorative Justice Services. This document extends the guidance previously issued on the use of Restorative Justice Systems in the Children's Hearing System to apply to other agencies, such as schools, the police etc. where there are incidents of harm which require youth justice services.

Curriculum for Excellence: Building the Curriculum 3: A Framework for Learning and Teaching, 10/06/08 [S]
Scottish Government guidance developing Curriculum for Excellence and setting out a new framework for the curriculum for 3-18 year olds. The framework describes the experiences and outcomes for learners at all stages, the range of features that children and young people are entitled to at different stages, the principles that should apply to curriculum design, the scope for professional design and autonomy and the allowance for more flexibility to meet the needs of all learners.

Getting it right for children and young people who present a risk of serious harm, 19/05/08 [S]
Scottish Government publication in collaboration with the High Risk Offenders Expert Group of the Youth Justice Improvement Programme. The document sets out information and measures designed to support self assessment and help those agencies and professionals working with young people who present a serious risk to strengthen their procedures. It is seen as a working document which will be added to as agencies provide feedback and as the GIRFEC agenda develops.

Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act: Health promotion guidance for local authorities and schools, 13/05/08 [
Scottish Government guidance to support local authorities and schools, and managers of grant-aided schools, in working with partner agencies to meet the duty to ensure that all schools are health promoting, as set out in the Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2007.

Scottish Executive good practice guide outlining the roles and responsibilites, and the process and procedures to be followed when a children's hearing imposes a movement restriction condition (electronic monitoring) on a child or young person. This document explains what Intensive Support and Monitoring is, how to plan for and how to use Intensive Support and Monitoring. It sets out what is legally required by the Intensive Support and Monitoring Regulations 2008, the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 and good practice when using Intensive Support and Monitoring.
