New look school meals for next term, 26/06/08 [S]
The Scottish Parliament has passed legislation to make school meals healthier. From August, primary schools will no longer provide sweets and fizzy juice but will offer at least two portions of fruit and vegetables and lunchtime, serve oily fish once every three weeks, limit deep fried items to 3 items a week and only serve chips as part of a nutritionally balanced meal.
