Education Committee takes evidence on Additional Support for Learning Regulations, 01/06/05 [S]
The Committee considered regulations relating to the Education (Additional Support for Learning) Act. The regulations are on the subjects of appropriate agency request periods and exceptions, changes in school education, co-ordinated support plans and publication of information. The Committee took evidence from the Scottish Executive, Additional Support Needs Division.
The Committee did not wish to make any recommendation on any of the instruments but with regard to SSI 2005/264 the Committee wished for its concern, that the request periods defined in the regulations were too generous, to be noted.
