Protection of Vulnerable Groups Implementation: Regulated Work with Children Order Consultation, 10/11/09 - 02/02/09 [S]
The Scottish Government is consulting on a provision making changes to the scope of regulated work with children (set out in schedule 2 to the PVG Act) which affects who should be a PVG Scheme member. Consultation to 2 February 2010.
Schedule 2 to the Act defines the scope of regulated work with children and has not been amended since the Act received Royal Assent in April 2007.
The Scottish Government wishes to ensure that the scope of regulated work with children is no more or no less expansive than necessary to capture positions where the potential for an unsuitable person to harm children through their work is significantly greater than in positions outside the scope.
